Steve and Julie Foy have been residents of Brainerd for 35 years. Steve was manager of Stereo One and WJJY for 18 years. Julie spent 20 years in the hospitality industry. In 1998 they purchased a local produce wholesale/retail company. During the 10 years of ownership they expanded the company to wholesaling to over 100 restaurants.

In 2000 they started a retail company, the Wild Bird Store; which catered to local bird enthusiasts. In 2008 they sold the companies; both are still in operation today. Since the founding of S. Thomas Estate Sales, the company has conducted over 100 estate liquidations and two business liquidations including Beautiful Antiques in Pequot Lakes, MN. S. Thomas and Associates is a licensed and bonded estate sale company. They have up to 15 experienced employees available for large scale liquidations. In 2012 they opened a subsidiary company; Design Consign, a 6,500 square foot retail showroom for consignment antiques, fine furniture and home décor. Design Consign works close with S. Thomas & Associates to give estate sale clients the option of consigning remaining items after their estate liquidation.
