It's a beautiful hike deep in the woods along the shore of lake Cochichewick I've been a regular hiker here since I met my wife back in 2011. And she's been coming here for years. It's a solid trail where you feel like you've gotten a good workout in after climbing Weir Hill. The patrons who hike here are all very friendly and it's great to be able to take your dog to a... Go here a lot for a hike. You can take the dog trail most use to go around the pond. Or go straight up the top. For a beautiful sunset if you hit it right. This time we went to the top for a sunset and it was a beauty. Weir Hill can be crowded on the weekends, and can be a bit muddy in the spring or after rains. But it is a great place to take your dog out. There are lots of dog lovers here, many dogs are off leash, and good swims for the pooch are available in several places. Bring your sullen teens, your critical mother-in-law, your labrador puppy and everyone will soak up the sun, breathe in some fresh air and exercise as much or as little as you like.
