What would it have taken to wrap the toe box a little deeper with the leather to prevent this. Also, and this is critical these shoes are extremely slippery when wet. They are unsafe on a rainy sidewalk, and going up and down subway stairs. lastly,it really doesn't have any support around the foot, except for the padding in the heel.
