The Border Collie is a well-balanced, medium-sized dog of athletic appearance. The body is slightly longer than the height at the withers. It is very agile, and has a well proportioned body of lean muscle. This dog breed is highly intelligent and hard-working that responds quickly and eagerly to training. The Border Collie is the world's premiere unsurpassed as a sheepdog in terms of agility, stamina and patience. It excels in obedience competitions. It thrives on games and is willing to please. The Border Collies are bred for working ability and intelligence rather than for physical beauty. It appears in many colors, with various combinations of patterns and markings. The most common color is black with or without the traditional white blaze, collar, stockings and tail tip, with or without tan points. Two varieties are permissible, both having soft, dense, weather resistant double coat. He has survived but is unsteady on his feet, confused and off his food at the moment and under medication. Those that knew him will remember he is a smart boy, just very, very sensitive and perhaps a little too amorous in the past!
